About ecCPR Online

EC CPR, LLC is a nurse-owned and operated continuing education company, established in 2007, located in 1149 W. 190th St., Ste. 2000, Gardena, CA.

We are approved by the Department of Health Services, the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, and the Board of Registered Nursing to provide continuing education to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs). Our instructors are also certified by the American Heart Association to provide CPR and First Aid certification.

We offer classes both in the classroom and online setting, not only to healthcare professionals, but also to students or individuals who want to learn more about healthcare.

EC CPR, LLC is nurse-owned and operated. It’s founder, Eliza Rivera-Mitu, RN, MSN, is also the primary instructor for all online and on-ground courses. Her husband, and co-owner Brian Mitu, RN, FNP, PA-C, FAAPA is also approved to teach some of the courses.

Eliza & Brian have a great vision for the company and hopes to reach more students in all the California cities, and eventually, the entire nation.

Do you have other course locations?

Most of the classes are held in Gardena, CA. However, we can set-up a class anywhere in Southern and Central California for groups of 10 or more.

Eliza started the company with 16 years of nursing experience in the different fields of nursing. She has worked in home care as a visiting nurse, a case manager, and as Director of Patient Care Services; in acute care as charge nurse of the endoscopy suite and outpatient surgery area; in the rehab setting as nurse supervisor; in online academics teaching for University of Phoenix’s graduate and undergraduate online courses; and in the last five years, she has been in academics, teaching nursing both in thepublic and private sector.

Eliza has taught various courses in nursing and healthcare, including: Health Care Informatics, eHealth, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Psychology, Medical Terminology, Dosage Calculations, Gerontology, Mental Health, and Leadership and Management. She also is a simulations specialist, and works with different human simulators from companies such as Laerdal, Gaumard and Meti.

Eliza teaches and manages all the courses for EC CPR, LLC, and is also responsible for approval of new courses.

Brian Mitu, RN, FNP, PA-C, FAAPA

Brian brings in 9 years of experience in the healthcare field, intially as a Registered Nurse, and in the last four years, after graduating from Stanford University’s Primary Care Associate Program, as a double-certified Physician Assistant and Family Nurse Practitioner.

Brian has extensive experience in the acute care setting as a staff nurse and oncology nurse, and recently, as a primary care provider.

Currently, he also works at Trinity Vocational Center, teaching VN courses such as Anatomy & Physiology and Medical-Surgical Nursing.

For EC CPR, he teaches the IV & Blood Draw Certification class, the basic and advanced ECG class, as well as various CNA continuing education courses.
